- How long after graduation am I able to continue to use my Cal 1 Card?add
The Cal 1 Card is reflective of your registration status in the Student Information Systems database.
Accordingly, the ability to use the card for continued access to the facilities and services at various campus service provider locations (e.g. RSF, Library, Tang, etc.) is dependent on each of their respective departmental policies and business processes as well as the frequency for their data transfer updates from SIS.
Therefore, the various intentional or defacto "grace periods" for continued access will vary for each location and further details in that regard will have to be obtained directly from the applicable administrative office(s) / representative(s).
Physical card-key access to buildings that is managed directly by UCPD and authorized campus card-key administrators is determined by the responsible parties irrespective of an active registration status.
Use of Cal 1 Card debit funds to pay for goods and services at Cal 1 Card Merchant locations will continue for as long as a positive balance exists on the debit account irrespective of a registered student status.
Unofficial / unauthorized use of the card by off-campus entities for discounts or access will be at their sole discretion.

If the Cal 1 Card debit purchase occurred within 90 days and you have not used any of the deposited funds, you may request a partial or full refund of the erroneous Cal 1 Card debit purchase by sending an email to cal1card@berkeley.edu.
