How do I obtain a Cal 1 Card?

Most incoming students will receive the initial Cal 1 Card as part of coordinated move-in and / or orientation activities.

All other students, employees, and affiliates needing a new or replacement Cal 1 Card will have to visit the Cal 1 Card office (212 Sproul Hall) during hiours of operation (Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m -- excluding administrative holidays).

On the first floor corridor of Sproul Hall (north end), join the virtual queue by signing in at either of two check-in kiosks.  You will then be notified via text when you can return for service.  If you do not have a phone, select the "no phone" option on the check-in kiosks and proceed to the second floor where you will be called by name when your turn for service arrives.

Issuance of the initial Cal 1 Card requires provision of the corresponding identification numberidentity verification via a valid (i.e. non-expired) government-issued photo identification card (e.g. driver license, State ID, passport, military ID).
