Can I obtain my CalNet token here?

What is my CalNet token?

Obtaining your CalNet token is an important step in creating a secure login for every member of the UC Berkeley community. It is an electronically-generated sequence of characters issued to each student, faculty, staff, or affiliate by an authorized CalNet Deputy. This token is then used to create the user's unique Passphrase. The Passphrase, used in combination with one's CalNet ID, allows the user access to many computer resources on Campus.

What do I need in order to get my new Cal 1 Card?

You will need a valid photo ID (such as a driver's license, state ID card, passport, or high school ID) and your student identification number (this can be found on your TeleBears letter or other registration forms).

How much will my new Cal 1 Card cost?

Your first Cal 1 Card is free of charge. To replace a lost or stolen card, a $25 processing fee is charged to your CARS account. Please report your lost card as soon as possible by logging into your account, or calling 1-866-2UCBCARD.

Do I have to pay all of my fees before I get my new ID card?

What do I need in order to replace my lost or stolen Cal 1 Card?

What if my Cal 1 Card is broken?

Replacement of a NON-WILLFULLY broken or damaged card is provided free of charge. You will need to bring your damaged card in with you for an even exchange. If you do not present the old card at the time of service, it will be processed as a lost card and you will be charged a $25 nonrefundable replacement fee.

If I don't like my picture can I get a replacement card?

We will be happy to retake your picture while you are at the Cal 1 Card Office in the process of getting your card. Once you have left the premises with your ID card, only damaged or broken cards will be replaced if it is determined to be NON-WILLFULL.

I've legally changed my name. Can I now get a new ID card that has my new name?

If you change your name while you are a student of Cal, you must file a "Petition of Name Change" so your records reflect the name change. The form is available in 120 Sproul Hall. Please wait five business days after the petition has been submitted before coming to the Cal 1 Card Office. To obtain a new ID free of charge you will need to bring your old card in with you for an even exchange. If you do not present the old card at the time of service, it will be processed as a lost card and you will be charged a $25 nonrefundable replacement fee.
